About Piffaro
Piffaro is not a specific venue but rather Philadelphia's acclaimed Renaissance Band, a musical ensemble performing 15th- to 17th-century music on historical instruments. They host concerts, often in historic churches across Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE, and offer online streaming of these performances. Piffaro also organizes community events like the Recorder Fest and provides educational programs such as masterclasses and instrument demonstrations. Their typical audience includes loyal, older concertgoers, but they also aim to engage younger audiences and those new to Renaissance music.
