About Orchestra 2001
Orchestra 2001 is a collective of adventurous, virtuoso performers, rather than a fixed venue, dedicated to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. They host exhilarating concerts, innovative artistic collaborations, and enriching community partnerships, often focusing on contemporary classical music and jazz. Their events are designed to connect diverse audiences with new music, engaging listeners across various communities in Philadelphia and beyond through performances in traditional halls and accessible pop-up settings. They actively seek to break down attendance barriers, reaching audiences in places where people work, shop, and play.
