About Columbia Pro Cantare
Columbia Pro Cantare is a nationally recognized auditioned volunteer chorus, not a standalone venue, with an office located in Ellicott City, MD. They host concerts featuring diverse choral literature, including classical works like Handel's Messiah, folk music, and commissioned pieces, performing at various venues such as local churches and the Jim Rouse Theatre. Their events provide high-quality musical experiences for a regional audience in Howard County and the wider metro area, appealing to both musicians and non-musicians. They also sometimes incorporate local middle and high school choruses into their performances.
