About Washington Stage Guild
The Washington Stage Guild is a professional theatre company that performs at The Undercroft Theatre, located in the ground level of the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church in Washington, DC. They host theatrical productions featuring a repertoire of neglected classics, unfamiliar works by well-known playwrights, and new plays from around the world, often with a focus on eloquent plays of idea, argument, passion, and wit. Their typical audience is diverse, described as "smart theatre for a smart town," and includes military veterans, vulnerable older adults, and people with disabilities.
