About Step Afrika!
Step Afrika! is a professional dance company, not a standalone venue, dedicated to the tradition of stepping. They perform a blend of percussive dance styles from historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional African dances, and contemporary forms. Their events are high-energy performances that integrate songs, storytelling, humor, and audience participation, and they also offer educational programs. Their typical audience is diverse, including families and individuals interested in dance, African American culture, and educational experiences.
